As a part of VIA’s KSAM plan that voters approved in 2020, VIA Rapid service is the city’s first Advanced Rapid Transit project. It’s designed to connect major employment and residential areas while expanding affordable access to jobs, goods and services, medical care, and other essentials of daily life.
VIA Rapid is a new, modern Advanced Rapid Transit (ART) system that offers faster connections, moving in dedicated lanes outside of regular traffic, with bus-friendly traffic signals and other time-saving features.
